Are you passionate about history and/or want to learn more about the history of a place, more than just its beautiful beaches?
Portuguese history is known worldwide for maritime discoveries, but there are also many things to say about the 20th century. Portugal has moved from a monarchy to a modern republican democracy, passing through Europe's longest fascist's inspiration dictatorship.
I invite you to take a leisurely stroll through Lisbon's downtown, touring the main places where so many conspiracies were planned, revolts suppressed and even a king was assassinated.
The tour will finish at the Aljube Museum, an old prison, now transformed into a space dedicated to the resistance to Salazar's authoritarian dictatorship. Before our meeting, I will ask if you have any special curiosity, and I will try to customize the visit to your interests!
Best time to book is from Monday to Sunday at 10am, 1:30pm or 5pm.
